I am a Northern Michigan native and mother of three. Photographer who dabbles in creative writing and enjoys telling the stories of the beautiful people I get to meet in this small lakeside town.
My husband and I moved from “the great north” to west Michigan in 2020. We started our journey in Grand Rapids and quickly realized that the city is not for us. We relocated to Holland and planted roots just a few miles from the big lake. Along with documentary style photography, and raising our three children, I also work for The Bridge Fair Trade. Sharing the stories of artisans from around the globe alongside a wonderful team of ladies at our Downtown Holland store.
My life before motherhood was a rural, life-is-what-you-make-it sort of a life full of family, financial challenges and deep northern roots. Because of the tight knit sort of community I came from, I care very deeply about true relationships and telling the real stories of who you are.
It is likely that I will show up to a session with no shoes and possibly a sticker or two on my back because I have three kids and who has time for shoes. I promise you we will not rush and I might spend a little too much time asking about you.
I feel most at home while at the lake or exploring new trails. We might wander and roam but I promise you we will get the shot.
Life feels chaotic and full but my heart is with the people I meet and the beautiful sandy lakeshore we get to explore. I can’t wait to adventure with you.

This is our second time getting family photos and both times have been so easy, so fun, and the pictures are so dreamy😍😍 she somehow made us eating Chick-fil-A in workout clothes look beautiful!

I can't say enough positive things about our experience with Olivia! She arrived on time and made the session quick, painless, and fun. With two littles at sunset, I was a bit nervous about how things would go but she made it simple and fun for them and for us too! Sometimes family photos can be awkward - but that was not the case with Olivia. She was professional and gave suggestions for poses but really just let us be natural and play around. The whole session was under 30 minutes and she really captured some amazing images! She returned our gallery within a week (much faster than expected) and the images are so beautiful - not posed or uncomfortable, but candid and fresh. We will definitely book with her for future family moments!

I stumbled upon Olivia one Spring when our family was traveling to MI for the weekend and we wanted family photos at the dunes. Olivia was such an absolute gem to work with (especially for our children who have special needs) and captured our family so, so beautifully & naturally that now we travel to MI specifically for photos with Olivia! When it came time for branding photos for our business, I knew Olivia’s aesthetic would capture the comfort & warmth that we want our clients to feel from our brand/mission. Though different from her typical line of session, she was thankfully up for the job—and blew us away once again with her talent. Olivia is the sweetest soul & is always shocked we travel out of our way to work with her… but I assure you— she’s WORTH IT time and time again. Forever thankful our paths crossed because she has gifted us some of our most beloved photos and lifelong keepsakes.

Olivia has been doing our family pictures for 4 years now and she has done an amazing job capturing our family through all our seasons. She took a small break from shooting and we tried other photographers during that time that we just didn’t love as much. We are SO HAPPY she is back and we wouldn’t go anywhere else. She is wonderful shooting families with small kids. Maybe it’s because she’s a mom to young babies herself but my kids are always so happy to shoot with Olivia!
